The Mill House is equipped with central heat and air. Wireless internet is available. An outdoor deck runs the width of the house off the retreat room and kitchen on the north side of the house. There is no smoking allowed in the house. We ask that if you smoke outside, please don't leave butts on the grounds.
This is the "heart" of the house. A beautiful country kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, utensils and cookware. As in most kitchens, the Mill House comes equipped with a refrigerator/freezer*, stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker, hot air popcorn popper, dishwasher, garbage disposal, crock pot, and more. We welcome you to bring and cook your own food. Bring your cookie dough and bake fresh cookies for a late night snack! Please contact us for a full list of all available kitchenware. This information will also be provided upon check-in. *There is no ice maker in the freezer, but ice cube trays are provided. We ask that if you use ice, you make more.
The formal dining room off the kitchen seats 8 to 10. Additional seating for meals is available at the kitchen breakfast bar and in the sunroom.
The sunroom occupies the southeast corner of the house. This room offers a table to sit and enjoy coffee in the morning, play a game, or eat when the dining room is full. This room also houses a queen sofa bed for guests who may have trouble navigating the stairs to the upper level bedrooms.
The parlor is on the south side of the house, and is a tribute to the owner, Marcia's family. Her grandmother's piano is here as well as many other family furnishings, pictures, and keepsakes. Marcia's Grandmother, "Granny", would love for you to play her piano while staying at the retreat! We do ask that you treat the items in this room as you would your own family heirlooms. No food or drink is allowed in this area of the house.
Last, but certainly not least, is the retreat room. This large room was added on to the house, leaving the original brick wall, windows and door frame intact separating the retreat room and the kitchen. There is a large, sectional sofa to sit and relax while still being able to visit with the crafters at the other end of the room.
